Sightseeing in Tabakoshi can be of two kinds. Firstly, local sightseeing and other is the sightseeing of the points of tourists attraction surrounding Tabakoshi. Local sightseeing can be done by the tourists and travelers by themselves. This is done on foot without hiring a car. It’s kind of self exploration of the location. The next kind of sight seeing requires the hiring of the car. Which costs Rs 2500 to Rs 4000 depending on the size of the Group and the type of the Vehicle you choose? That is why people ideally plans two days stay at Tabakoshi. First day they do the local sightseeing and next day they rent a cab and go for other kind of sightseeing.

Vishnu Mandir (Vishnu Temple)

Vishnu Mandir in Tabakoshi is one of a kind temple in the region. This is because this temple of God Vishnu is the only temple of Vishnu situated in the bank of a river in Darjeeling. Being situated on the bank of the river Rangbang the temple offers a magnificent view of the river.

Shiv Mandir(Shiva Temple)

Tabakoshi has a temple dedicated to lord Shiva just beside the park. People visiting Tabakoshi visit the temple and offer their prayers to the lord Shiva. The Temple is situated at the lush green surroundings. The view from the temple premises is awesome because it is situated at a high ground.

Mukti Bridge (Iron Bridge)

The iron Bridge across the River Rangbang connects several tea gardens. It offers an amazing view of the river Rangbang and known as Mukti Bridge. The Bridge was reconstructed by Mr. Subhash Ghishing replacing the old one which was made by the British. Mukti Bridge because the bridge has been life line to people living in the region as it connects towns Darjeeling and Mirik.

Tabakoshi Park and Garden

Tabakoshi Park and garden is another tourist attraction of Tabakoshi. The park is adjacent to River Rangbang. With sitting arrangements and walk ways the garden offers a relaxing and Leisure walking space for the guests. The area is well-maintained and has several benches and tables where travelers can sit and enjoy. Different types of decorative plants and flowers found in the region are seen here. One can carry his camera or mobile phone to capture some beautiful photos here in this park.

Gopaldhara Tea Factory

Gopaldhara Tea is famous not only in the Country but also the Globe and the world famous tea producing factory in situated just beside the River Rangbang in Tabakoshi. One can just walk a distance and visit the factory, ask for the tour and if allowed get inside the factory and witness the hundred years old tea making process.

Orange Orchard

Another local sight you might visit while in Tabakoshi is Orange Orchards. The world famous Darjeeling oranges producing Orchards are part of Tabakoshi.If you are lucky enough to visit Tabakoshi during orange season (December and January) you might be et a change to pluck one for yourself.

River bed of River Rangbang

Your Tabakoshi tour is incomplete without visiting the river Rangbang the charm of Tabakoshi. Sitting beside the river and enjoying the peaceful surroundings is a wonderful way to relax and rejuvenate. Travelers can sit on the grassy banks of the river, listen to the sound of the flowing water, and enjoy the cool breeze or even take a bath or swim.
