The following are the Homestay Guidelines for Guests who would like to stay at our Homestay.
1. Respect the Host Family
• Follow the house rules set by the host.
• Be polite, courteous, and open to cultural differences.
• Respect the family’s privacy, customs, and daily routines.
2. Communicate Clearly
• Inform the host about your arrival time and travel plans.
• Let the host know if you’ll be late, miss a meal, or stay out overnight.
• Share any dietary restrictions or special needs in advance.
3. Maintain Cleanliness
• Keep your room and shared spaces clean and tidy.
• Clean up after yourself after using the bathroom, kitchen, or common areas.
4. Be Considerate
• Limit noise, especially at night.
• Ask before inviting friends to the house.
• Respect quiet hours, if any are set by the host.
5. Follow Meal Arrangements
• Be on time for meals if they are provided.
• Let the host know if you will miss a meal.
• Offer to help clear the table or assist, if appropriate.
6. Safety and Security
• Keep the house keys safe if given.
• Lock doors and windows when leaving the home.
• Avoid bringing prohibited or illegal items into the home.
7. Financial Responsibility
• Pay any agreed fees on time.
• Discuss and agree upon any additional costs beforehand (e.g., laundry, extra meals).
8. Cultural Sensitivity
• Learn about and respect the local culture and traditions.
• Dress appropriately, especially in conservative homes or communities.
• Avoid behavior that may offend local customs.
9. Environmentally Friendly Practices
